A New Plan for USA

When George Washington gave his speech before leaving office, he said that America needed to keep their noses out of other countries business and tend to our own countries problems.  Then we helped out a little in World War I and said that would be it, just bailing a friend out.  When Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, we stepped up to the plate and showed the world who was the Super Power on the block.  Since then we’ve had our hand in every battle between every country around the world?  When do we say “Enough is enough” and wash our hands of other countries problems?

Here is a new plan that could help out our country which seems to be in major need of an overhaul.  Let’s pull our troops out of every country around the world.  Bring all the boys home and set up a Border Patrol to rival the strongest castle the world has ever seen.  Now by no means am I suggesting we lessen our Military might, just seems like we should pay attention to OUR needs rather then the needs of every other country around the world.  Think of the money we spend helping other countries out of problems when we seem to have some serious problems in our own yards.  Think of all the money that could be spent on renewable energy rather than wasting so many BILLIONS on oil.  We need to make sure that OUR people are treated and taken care of and educated properly.  If these other countries want to destruct themselves fighting over religion, oil, or what ever they seem to keep fighting over, let them do it on their own soil.  Keep our military here protecting our borders and making sure we keep peace in this country.

Why not stiffen the incoming security to the point that illegal aliens wouldn’t think of coming here, let alone terrorists.  No, don’t get me wrong, I’m not pointing fingers like I’m saying I want this to become the next East Block of Berlin, but if you would like to come here on vacation or to go to school here, you can get a work visa that would be monitored by the strongest security forces the world has known.  By all means come here to visit, but make sure that the people who are here have gone through an elaborate security check and are monitored as to when they have to leave.  The specified time line you were allowed to be ‘In Country’ needs to be adhered to and not just ignored.  This would keep terrorists on a short leash and we could keep track of whose who and what you’re doing.  This is done in every other country, why are we so lax when it comes to handing out Visa’s and allowing anyone to enter?   

The imports could be taxed accordingly or buy American.  By keeping the work here and making sure our factories and technology is kept up to par, we wouldn’t need to send work to other countries and worry about our work force being unemployed.  The Unions have ruined the work force and given America such a bad name by becoming so lazy that maybe we needed to hit the bottom before we realized that things have to change.  Study what the other countries are doing with their technology and make sure we keep up and maybe even a few steps ahead of them.  Learn to use renewable resources so we aren’t dependant on foreign oil and make sure that our labor force is used to design and make these new super fuels easily available.  Why are we fighting over oil and why are we fighting to make sure another country can vote, when our own country can’t hold an election without someone tampering with it?  Does this make any sense to anyone? 

Sounds easy doesn’t it?  Let’s try and get this to someone who can make a decision and get this plan rolling so we stop losing our own fighting over other countries problems.
